Water Aerobics Classes at Palm Bay Aquatic Center
Water Aerobics classes will begin on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Palm Bay Aquatic Center. The center is located at 420 Community College Parkway just south of the Brevard Community College Campus. Classes will be offered Tuesday (deep water) and Thursday (shallow water) from 6:45 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. The class fee is $3.00 per class. Passes are available, inquire at the front desk.
Basic Water Aerobics in the shallow water is a class geared towards all age groups and fitness levels. Benefits of water aerobics include cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, muscle toning, and improved balance. Participants do not need to have any swimming experience.
Deep water aerobics class is held in twelve feet of water and requires the use of a flotation belt. This is a nonimpact class, perfect for individuals requiring extra care with their joints. This class also works on cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, muscle toning and improved balance. It is an excellent core workout program.
